“Our dog was paralyzed from the waist down about two months before we had a vacation planned. We strongly considered canceling the trip to be with her, especially once we discovered that her regular “dog camp” was no longer interested in a high maintenance dog. Some of the places that were willing to take her concerned us. It either seemed like she would just be “parked” somewhere with little care, or that people wouldn’t know how to help her with her therapy and other special needs (some bathroom ones, too!).Around this time, our physical therapist suggested we talk to Stacy. We could not have gotten better advice. Stacy didn’t bat an eye when we described all of Sophie’s needs to her. Having been through it herself, it was no big deal. And from the moment we took Sophie to meet her, it was clear she was “at home.” Stacy’s whole family adopted Sophie. And Stacy was great about sending us reports and pictures on e-mail. (Our favorite was her son Andrew lying in Sophie’s crate with her, both of them with their feet in the air.)When we dropped by to pick Sophie up, she cruised (well, as much as a dog who drags her back legs can) around the house, showing us all her favorite spots. When we went back a second time, Sophie was clearly thrilled and immediately meshed back in with family life there. We dropped by to pick her up when Stacy was hosting a New Year’s Eve Party, and Sophie had become the life of the party… she was staying up all night with all the grown-ups, who were showering her with attention.
While on the trip we had considered not taking, we had zero worries at all. Stacy is without a doubt a skilled and competent caretaker. She clearly LOVES dogs, and truly cares about the physical and emotional well-being. In short... she is a saint.”

“My husband
and I have a yellow lab named Jake.
Over the past year, we have often entrusted his care to Stacy Hallett. Whether we have planned a vacation for
a couple of days or two weeks, she has always come through for us. Our experience with Stacy’s services
has been outstanding. Whether it
was caring for Jake at our home or taking him into her own, he received the
greatest care. We often refer to
Stacy as Jake’s second mom. Her
professionalism, dedication, and genuine love for animals have been of great
benefit to us. She is the first
person we think of whenever we need a pet sitter. It has provided us great peace of mind knowing that when we
are not there, Jake is in great hands and receiving the highest standard of
care. With Stacy, we are confident
of his physical and mental well being when we have to be out of town and that
has been invaluable to us.
With
the Highest Recommendation,”
